Not for the Family
The Coliseum was a fun experience, despite the bad reputation it receives. Seeing people dressed as Darth Vader and in black pads with black Trojan helmets was cool, as was the mass of black chanting “San Francisco Symphony!” It could get a tad annoying, though. A bad part is the abundance of profanity, and wearing the visiting teams’ colors may lead to verbal assaults. Bringing your kid means exposing them to more profanity than at a place like Candlestick. Unfortunately, a fight almost erupted near me. On the bright side, it is more convenient to get to and from the Coliseum than Candlestick, thanks to BART running in front of the Coliseum.
